The National Honor Society (NHS) at the Academy inducted 37 new members on Apr. 21.

Newly inducted senior Marianne Chen said, “It felt good knowing I was accepted into NHS. Being accepted is recognition of what I’ve achieved and I’m proud.”

A total of 94 students is involved in the  program at the Academy.

Members of NHS were chosen for outstanding academic success, character, leadership and service.

As NHS members, students provide peer tutoring twice a week, complete 20 additional hours of service beyond tutoring and division requirements, assist with school events, attend presentations by invited speakers, maintain high scholastic standing and strong character, and are leaders at the Academy.
