According to USA today, shorter intensive workouts prove to be beneficial and help build muscle mass, boost metabolism and burn calories faster.
Wellness Coordinator, Natalie Lineback, said, “Having a balanced diet, eating smaller portions and at least 30 minutes of physical activity will help to boost metabolism.”
Eating protein-packed foods, such as lean beef, turkey, fish, white meat chicken, tofu, nuts, beans, eggs and low-fat dairy products, work to increase metabolism.
“To boost my metabolism, I make sure to drink green tea every night. I always get at least eight hours of sleep. Before bed, I have a routine that involves moderately-intense cardio. I hope to boost my metabolism, lose a little weight and get into shape,” said freshman Erica Nishi-Bantolina.
