The freshman classes in World History will present important historical figures from both World Wars in the annual World Wars Wax Museum which will take place on May 5 throughout the day in the high school library.
“They [the freshmen] have created autobiographies, tri-fold information boards, backdrop designs and costumes to ‘become’ their historical figures. The girls have been practicing and honing their presentations in front of their classes, and next week they will be ready to present them to the world!” said World History teacher, Wendy Bowers.
The World Wars Wax Museum began as a major project for history students in 2011.
“I’m excited that I will be acting as Adolf Hitler! It was really interesting researching his life and I can’t wait to see how people react to my impersonation,” said freshman Julina Reyes.
High school students have been invited to visit the library next week to observe and interact with these historical figures.
“We would love other classes to stop by, if even for part of the period. Our girls have worked very hard and would love to have an audience!” said Bowers.
