Slippers for Scholarship raise scholarship funds

Teachers and students from senior kindergarten to the Senior Class participated “slippers for scholarships.” Teachers and students strolled down the hall ways wearing slippers and a Sacred Hearts’ shirt for the school’s first fundraiser on Oct. 14 of the year.

All donations made will go into the memorial scholarship funds for Dr. Martha Dang, a former science teacher, or Antoinette Gopaul, the lower school dean.

Meryl Mindo said, “I am glad that the first school fundraiser is going toward such a worthy cause. It was a small donation and I am looking forward to it next year.”

The school’s goal is to raise $10,000 for the scholarships throughout the school year.

Thanks to the support of the students and teachers the lower school and high school raised $4,500 toward the memorial scholarships.
