Leo Club members volunteered at the annual Sony Open, a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, at the Waialae Country Club, helping with crowd noise control and marking golf balls.

Leo Club made PGA history with three of the youngest marshals at the tournament, with seventh graders Morgan Candelo and Lucy Gentry and eighth grader Kayla Park. Six club members and their Kamehameha Lions Club sponsors volunteered for two days on Jan. 17 and 18.

Leo Club officer Theresa Ginter said, “I volunteered at the Sony Open last year and chose to do it again because it was a great opportunity to learn more about golf, meet new people and also earn community service hours.”
