Wilbur Soot is a 26-year-old British Twitch streamer, YouTuber, and musician. Wilbur has made an appearance in multiple groups on YouTube, including Lovejoy, DreamSMP, TheSootHouse, EarthSMP, and many more. 

In July 2020, Wilbur Soot, also known as Will Gold, officially joined the DreamSMP. This is an invite-only survival multiplayer Minecraft server. On the road to being in the DreamSMP, Wilbur met many other famous content creators, like Tommyinnit, Nihachu, and TechnoBlade. 

In one of Wilburs’ streams, he talks about how English YouTuber and streamer Tommyinnit is his best friend. 

“The only reason I’m getting out of bed and going to my computer is because Tommyinnit had said, ‘Come talk to me,’” he said.

As more members join the DreamSMP, they find themselves making streams/episodes called lore. You may be wondering, who writes the scripts and lore? Well, believe it or not, Wilbur is actually the one who writes the lore scripts. He has been planning most of the arcs, lores, and more. Part of the early lore was inspired by Hamilton. 

His music career has been soaring, too, with millions listening to his music on a daily basis. His music streams hit over 2 million views, with some of the most played songs, “I’m In Love With An Emo Girl,” “The Internet Ruined Me,” “Your New Boyfriend,” “Your Sister Was Right,” “Jubilee Line” and “Saline Solution.”

Through this, Wilbur is someone who is extremely passionate about his music. Music had been a part of his life for a long time. In January 2018, Wilbur started his music career. The first song he released was “Nice Guy,” which was posted on his second YouTube account. Wilbur can play a variety of instruments. He plays the bass, flute, mandolin, baritone ukulele, and guitar.
