Build relationships on foundation of trust
October 30, 2015
As simple as it may sound, many relationships today are difficult to establish and maintain.
In any kind of relationship, trust is an important element, the foundation on which relationships are built. Without it, a solid relationship cannot be successful.
Honesty also comes into play in a relationship. Although it may sound trite, honesty is the best policy. When honesty is present in a relationship, individuals can trust each other.
Trust allows people to be open in their relationships. Where there is trust, there is also vulnerability when important and sometimes sensitive information is shared. When both partners understand the boundaries of the relationship, it deepens and validates the relationship.
Many individuals’ sense of security in a relationship is based on a foundation of mutual trust. In a trusting environment, people are free to be themselves without feeling the need to stay guarded to avoid any possible betrayal. This creates a setting for unity and explains why in a relationship, there is nothing more corrosive than suspicion and distrust.
All relationships begin with trust. It is the building block to a long-lasting relationship. Love and happiness cannot be built upon a relationship without trust. Moreover, not only does trust include understanding but also creates respect. Without it, relationships will be unsuccessful. It is woven into the very fiber of every aspect of the relationship, which is why it is something that should be protected, enjoyed and valued.
