The CyberLancers and CyberLancers Gold teams competed in the CyberPatriot State Round, which included three “virtual machines,” a Windows Vista image, a Windows 7 image and an Ubuntu image, and a Cisco Networking quiz.

The CyberLancers team had 64 points for Vista, 43 points with one penalty for Ubuntu and 39 points for Windows 7. Team members earned 146 points for the images. The Gold team earned 69 points for Windows Vista, 43 points for Windows 7 and 45 points for Ubuntu, with no penalties. Their images’ total score was 157.

For the Cisco Networking quiz, the CyberLancers team garnered 23.1 points and the Gold team had 29.7 points out of 33.

The Gold team, comprised of seniors Leeyannah Santos, Angelyn Tabalba, Kristen Kate Tumacder and Mary Kay Zhang now advances to the Regional Round which features Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2008 and Ubuntu, each of which is worth 100 points. The Cisco Quiz features all modules, totaling 33 points. There is also a Packet Tracer for 42 points.

The Gold team continues to prepare for the Regional Round with the other team’s help.
