December 3, 2014
Senior Aina Katsikas has been selected to participate in the fall term of Senator Schatz’s high school internship program.
U.S. Senator Brian Schatz initiated an internship program open to high school seniors in the state of Hawaii. The program, also known as “Schatz Seniors,” recruited 15 bright and enthusiastic students from various schools across the state. Students were selected according to their involvement in their community, leadership, and diversity of interests and life experiences. The term runs from November 2014 – April 2015.
The goal of the internship is to provide various learning opportunities in politics and the community.
“I chose to apply for the internship because I’ve always had a strong interest in politics, and this was a great way to get started at a young age,” said Katsikas.
