Freshmen are celebrating their Freshman Week Nov. 17-21.

The theme of the entire week, including the retreat on Friday, is “Uncharted Seas.”

The week commenced with “Marine Monday.” Students received marine animals-shaped crackers and Goldfish crackers in homeroom as a special treat.

The following day, “Tropical Tuesday,”  brought refreshing treats for students in the form of Jamba Juice smoothies.

On “Whale-of-a-Tale Wednesday,” activities and games, including Pin the Tail on the Whale, limbo and beach ball dodgeball, was held during recess next to the Performing Arts Center.

“Tacky Tourist Thursday” was a chance for students to creatively accessorize their uniforms. Students were permitted to wear classic tourist accessories, such as aloha shirts, lei, hats and water wings.

On “Free-Spirited Friday,”  the class will embark on a retreat to the St. Anthony Retreat Center, led by the Living in Faith Experience Team.

Freshmen are pleased to be celebrating a week devoted to the Class of 2018.

Kiley Pazcoguin said, “I am enjoying Freshman Week because it is a week dedicated to us. I’m also really looking forward to the retreat.”

Kimi Tokunaga said, “I’m enjoying Freshman Week so far because it gives us a chance to feel special as a division through the stress of homework, studying, and sports in our first semester of high school.”
