Fright Night at Sacred Hearts Academy was once again a standout event this year, drawing friends and family to join in the Halloween festivities. The event featured exciting games, delicious food, fun toys, and an impressive light show. Families enjoyed dressing up in their favorite costumes and showcasing their creative ideas, making it a memorable night filled with laughter and spooky fun.
The school is decorated with elaborate themes, transforming the campus into a spooky wonderland. Many people contribute to the event, including staff, parents and students, who volunteer their time to help set up and assist during the event. Many would agree that one of the best parts is seeing the younger children enjoy the festivities.
This year, the fundraising booths were buzzing with excitement. The Philippines booth was a new addition, where students hustled to raise funds for their upcoming trip to the Philippines in January. Sr. Katherine Francis Miller and Sr. Irene Barboza added a touch of warmth to the event, and the aroma of banana lumpia and other delightful Filipino dishes filled the air. The students’ beaming smiles and infectious joy while serving the food made the event unforgettable for many.
Fright Night is also a night when kids run around in creative costumes, laughing and competing in a variety of games, like knocking down bowling pins and trying their luck at the ring toss. The games are the heart of the event, and the best part is collecting tickets. With enough tickets, event-goers can head over to the prize booth and pick out something awesome. Little ones love playing games with their friends, showing off their skills, and enjoying the thrill of winning tickets. It’s a night full of joy, laughter and unforgettable moments.
The event featured a variety of impressive costumes, with many teachers attending alongside their children. Teacher Alyssa Myers and her family dressed up as a safari crew. Their costumes were incredible, and her children fully embraced their roles. “Fright Night is always our family’s favorite time of year,” Myers said. “My daughter loves dressing up and playing every game, twice, to win even more prizes. Her favorite part of this year’s Fright Night was definitely the light show and dance party. She didn’t want to leave!”
This year’s Fright Night featured a collaboration with Mo’olelo Studios, bringing an impressive light show and an energetic dance party to the event. The dance floor was filled with students and children showcasing their dance moves, while the DJ played upbeat tracks that kept the energy high throughout the night. The colorful lights added a vibrant touch, enhancing the atmosphere. Additionally, a student girl band performed, captivating the audience with their performance. It was truly an unforgettable night for many.
