English department chair Jill Sprott has been recognized by Turnitin.com, one of  the leading sites for plagiarism prevention used by millions of students and faculty, for championing the use of the site at the Academy.

Sprott was nominated by several Academy faculty members.

Sprott was picked by the web site as a finalist All-Star as an educator who “demonstrates a commitment to academic integrity, enhance student learning by providing more engaging feedback, or champion the use of Turnitin at their institution or district-wide.”

“There is a Turnitin contributors’ network for input about Turnitin.com. As a finalist, I can periodically post ideas about what’s working, what I’m using and share on the Turnitin blog. That’s a perk of being recognized, being a part of this larger group of educators,” said Sprott.

Results of winners will be released in the month of April.
