Since lower school students have been studying the significance of Veterans Day, service members from the U.S. Navy were invited to visit classes, including  Senior Kindergartners, first graders, second graders and third graders classes.

Students welcomed their visitors with patriotic songs as well as gift bags, posters, cards and letters. The letters will be taken to the Navy base to be shared with other sailors stationed there.

The visitors told a personal story about their service to the navy. They also answered students’ questions concerning their roles as sailors.

Second grader Kamryn Nguyen said, “My favorite part of the day was when they read us a story!”
