The Hyatt Hotel recently partnered with Sacred Hearts Academy to promote healthy meals that appeal to children. Fifth grade students were asked to submit a recipe they created. The dish had to include at least one ingredient from the school garden, but the rest of was left to the student’s creativity.
Tenn Kusaka was the winner of “For Kids by Kids at Hyatt.” Her recipe was for “Sleepy Cheese,” including basil, tomato, asparagus and mozzarella cheese.
Kusaka said, “My mom makes something similar, so I changed it a little and made it my own recipe. When I found out that I won, I felt like I could do anything and it was a great feeling.”
Kusaka’s dish is being featured in SHOR restaurant at the Hyatt for the month of February.
