The annual Living in Faith Experience (LIFE) walk and mass will take place on Jan. 30.
The LIFE team works with Campus Ministry to coordinate all student religious events, including mass, Lancer Christian Community (LCC) activities and division retreats. The LIFE mass will celebrate life and its blessings through upbeat songs and dance.
Teachers and students in grades 7 through 12 will walk to Palolo District Park where they will participate in games prepared by the LIFE team and Student Council.
LIFE team member Kara Takahashi said, “The LIFE team and council are brainstorming and putting together creative and entertaining activities that hopefully the students will enjoy.”
Student Council president Angela Wong said, “We are trying to bring new ideas to actually make the walking route fun, including stations where students can get snacks and bubbles.”
Following the walk, students and teachers will return to campus for lunch.
LIFE team member Nicole Mari Paz Corpus said, “The LIFE mass and walk are our last big activity together as this year’s team. It reflects all the experiences that we had during summer at the LIFE retreat.”
The annual LIFE walk raises funds for next year’s team so that members can participate in the California retreat during the summer. Twelve incoming seniors will be chosen for the LIFE team 2014-15.
