With the school year ending, seniors are reflecting on their experiences at the Academy.
Senior Dominique Dold said, “This past year was packed with many activities and I would love to do it all over again if I could. Senior year was truly unlike any other and I’m happy I had the opportunity to have such a great one.”
Senior Liliani Mafua agreed about the uniqueness of a final year of high school.
“It was an interesting year with new friends and new experiences. In the beginning, it was somewhat slow but it actually went by really fast once the second semester started and graduation approached,” said Mafua.
In addition to fun activities outside the classroom, students also benefited from the challenging academic aspects of senior year.
Senior Lexi Lee said, “High school has been very progressive and I’ve had much growth intellectually. I’ve learned that I can exceed my expectations and achieve my goals.”
Senior Caitlin McCarthy also offered her reflection of the past four years.
“Looking back, I enjoyed being able to be a child but having the freedom of an adult. In all honesty, I’m going to miss the uniform because I’ve grown accustomed to knowing what to wear every day and in college I will have more freedom,” said McCarthy.
Senior Seyeranne Lat said, “At the beginning of high school I was comfortable with my friends, but as the years went by, I gained new relationships. I’m extremely grateful for the friendships I’ve made and and thankful for high school for giving me a great experience.”
