Valentine’s Day is an occasion centered around bouquets of flowers and chocolate. Many have already started to look for treats and cards to purchase. However, these things cost money.
Instead of buying expensive store-bought treats, one can easily make chocolate covered strawberries instead of buying store-bought chocolates. Another delicious treat to make is cookies. Heart-shaped cookies can be customized by adding names or decorations.
Making homemade Valentine’s Day treats with family members and friends will also allow people to grow to know each other better by working together.
Freshman Sydney Gadd said, “I like to bake brownies and cupcakes with my family because it’s easy to make and I give them out to my friends.”
Lower school teacher Keri Sarbida said, “Making homemade treats is far better than store-bought. Aside from the price, treats from the store may also be unhealthy. By making them at home, I can easily customize them and make them healthier.”
Homemade Valentine’s treats are an inexpensive and easy way to show family and friends love and affection.
