Seniors Sage Parker-Lee and Bo-Taylor Samson were signers among soccer and football student athletes at the PIAA National Letter of Intent Day on Feb. 5.
Parker-Lee played on the Academy varsity soccer team for three years and will be attending Loyola Marymount University in California on a soccer scholarship.
Parker-Lee said, “We’ve been working towards this goal since we were kids, training hard every year to improve and get to where we are now. This was only made possible by the support of our family, coaches, teammates and friends, and we’re extremely grateful for the sacrifices they’ve made.”
Samson also played three years on the Lancer varsity soccer team and will join the competitive soccer team at Northeastern University.
Samson said, “When I finally had the chance to sign my intent papers, I felt extremely relieved and satisfied. It was proof that our hard work payed off and the dedication was worth the long hours.”
Varsity soccer coach Spencer Freitas said, “I thoroughly enjoyed working with Keala and Bo throughout the season. Both athletes possess commendable personalities that create a comfortable and positive atmosphere for the other players. Keala and Bo are leaders by example and made the Academy proud with their college commitments.”
