The Junior High VEX IQ robotics team competed in their first VEX IQ competition at Pearl City High School on Nov. 16.
Seventh graders, Aiyana Arnobit, Amanda-Joy Lee, Danielle Nguyen, Jenna Tanna, Lauren Chun, Monica Kenny and Tapairu Rezentes, and eighth graders, Mindy Thai, Paige Mattos, Jaellen Flores and Taylor Rayray, took part in the event.
Robotics adviser Peter Park said, “We didn’t come home with the trophies but the teams demonstrated good sportsmanship. Most of all, they enjoyed the event and it was a good learning experience for them. They are all fired up and hungry for more challenges!”
