Caught up with daily routines, we often forget to take time to appreciate our island’s beauty. If locals continue to have an unappreciative attitude towards the island’s beauty, it will lead to poor stewardship and deterioration of Hawaii’s natural features.
Locals often have a jaded view of living on an island. The high cost of living, ridiculous gas prices, terrible traffic and heavy reliance on tourism distract from the beautiful things that the island offers.
Like many other situations in life, we do not always appreciate something until it no longer exists. We should be grateful for the everyday beauty we witness.
The island is full of surprises that we take for granted. The natural beauty of the island allows inhabitants to regularly experience beauty, peacefulness and serenity.
Unlike many other places, Hawaii provides inhabitants with beautiful beaches that are always within an hour’s drive, countless scenic routes, picturesque hikes, lush rain forests, serene mountains and active volcanoes.
A sense of gratitude for the island’s wonders is important for us to preserve the beauty for generations to come.
