During the fall semester, college representatives regularly visit Sacred Hearts to inform students about their curricula and application processes.
Counselor Randall Fong said, “Students get to meet the admissions representative for the school and learn about the region. Additionally, they can ask specific questions about the college.”
The visits especially aid seniors who are in the process of deciding which schools to consider for application.
Senior Tiffany Atud said, “I wasn’t entirely sure about applying to a specific college, but I went to listen to the admissions adviser to learn more about the school. Afterwards, I decided to apply because of what I learned from the visit and the research it provoked me to do.”
Schools such as Boston University, Loyola Marymount University, New York University, Northeastern University, Oregon State University, University of Hawaii Manoa and University of San Diego visit on a regular basis.
Senior Siman Zhang said, “I went to the Northeastern University visit, already wanting to apply. I found out about school programs I wasn’t aware of which reinforced my desire to attend the school.”
