With major holidays around the corner, the Academy’s Parent Board organized its Christmas Gift Card Fundraiser which allows Academy families to buy gift cards from favorite eateries, shops and even Dennis Uniform.
Depending on which gift card one buys, a certain percentage of the profits will go to needed capital improvements in the school such as gym renovations, an outdoor court or a playground.
For busy families, the Gift Card fundraiser encourages families to buy gift cards for every day purchases. It features favorite clothing and convenient store gift cards from Gap, Longs, American Eagle Outfitters, Aeropostale, Office Depot, Dennis Uniforms and Whole Foods, to name a few.
The Christmas Gift Card Fundraiser is one way to get Christmas gifts for loved ones for their favorite eateries around the island. Gift cards for eateries include, but are not limited to, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Buca di Beppo, Morton’s Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesday, Taco Bell and Jamba Juice.
The fundraiser currently has two deadlines: Oct. 11 and Nov 1. For the Oct. 11 deadlines, gift cards are to be distributed on Nov. 26.
As for the Nov. 1 deadline, there are two distribution dates: Dec. 6 and 7.
In the high school and lower school, there will be drop boxes next to school offices to place completed gift card order forms with payment. Order forms can also be emailed to Gift Card Fundraiser Chair Mikel Raphael at raphael_mikel@yahoo.com. Checks payable to Sacred Hearts Academy Parent Board are highly encouraged, but cash is not allowed. Credit cards are discouraged because of processing fees.
There are incentives for families to purchase gift cards. The student who has the greatest dollar amount of orders by Oct. 11 will receive a $75 gift card. The homeroom that makes the greatest dollar amount of orders by Nov. 1 will be given $150 to apply to one of their homeroom events.
“Thank you for your consideration, generosity and continued support of Sacred Hearts Academy. We appreciate the assistance and the positive impact this fundraiser will make for all our students,” said fundraiser chair Raphael.
