In private people tend to be more inclined to be respectful and demonstrate restrained attitudes.
In groups, however, people sometimes believe they are hard to see or won’t be noticed and that their actions will not be recognized. It’s the mob mentality.
In assemblies, too often people get up to use the restroom, fill water bottles or perform other inappropriate actions they think will not be noticed because of the large number of people present.
Whether it is mass, presentations by guest speakers or the daily flag ceremony, attitudes are too often disrespectful and noticeable through posture, attitude and facial expressions.
Thoughtless behavior is rude and irreverent and therefore, must stop.
Regardless of the number of persons at an event, individual rude mannerisms must be consciously monitored when groups gather. They are seen.
Behavior should display unwavering awareness of and respect for the particular situation that includes active participation and attentiveness.
