Bishop Larry Silva visited Sacred Hearts and met with the Senior Class as a part of the annual “Bagels with the Bishop” program. Seniors shared a light breakfast of bagels and fruit with the Bishop.
During the visit, Bishop Silva and Father Gary Secor, the Vicar of the Diocese, spoke of maintaining healthy relationships with the church after high school. The Bishop also took photos with each student.
“The Bishop’s speech was meaningful because he took the time to come to our school. I took his lesson of having a strong connection to the church after I graduate, to heart,” said senior Danielle Banda.
Bagels with the Bishop is an annual event directed towards Hawaii Catholic school seniors to encourage them to maintain their relationships with their school and their faith after graduation.
