Sacred Hearts Academy’s participation in this year’s Aloha United Way (AUW) fundraising include projects “Pumped Up Kicks” and a snack sale.
“Pumped Up Kicks” will allow students to express their creativity while raising money for AUW. Students will be able to wear colorful sneakers and shoelaces for two days and compete for the most creative shoelaces, most complex shoelace patterns or the most colorful laces or shoes.
“Dress Down Day” allows students to “dress down” and wear any Sacred Hearts shirt with jeans or knee-length capris. This fundraiser can be combined with the “Pumped Up Kicks” project with an additional donation to AUW. If not, Dress Down participants can wear slippers, athletic shoes, flats or boots.
Instead of a bake sale, Sacred Hearts is featuring a new snack sale fundraiser. Parents and students are encouraged to donate healthy snacks such as fresh fruit, fresh veggie cups, trail mix, muffins, popcorn and granola bars. The project promotes healthy living, a theme for the new year.
The goal of this year’s AUW projects is to encourage both personal expression and healthy living while donating to the worthy cause of AUW.
