Sacred Hearts Academy is hosting its first talent show, ‘SHA Factor,’ on Mar. 10 at 6p.m. in the high school auditorium. Fourteen acts from grade six to high school will be featured.
Lauren Williams, Choir Director, and Toni Normand, Director of Special Programs, watched each audition and chose the acts for the talent show.
“We had a few callbacks after the first round of auditions. The callbacks gave the students a second chance to fix their acts,” said Normand.
The panel picked a variety of acts including singing, dancing, hip hop, bands, ballet and tap dance.
“Some groups in the show are affiliated with Saint Louis School and we will also have students from Kaimuki High School. We even discovered a dance duo at the Choreographers’ Showcase,” said Normand.
“During the dress rehearsal on Mar. 7, we made final changes to our routine and got our rotations done,” said sophomore Jaylla Pascua.
“ SHA Factor is a fundraiser for the memorial scholarships honoring Dr. Mimi Dang and Tony Gopaul. So far, we have raised over $6,000,” said Normand. “There will be baked goods during intermission and our finance representatives will be helping during the show.”
Tickets are still being sold for five dollars.
