“We Bought a Zoo” tells the story of Benjamin Mee (Matt Damon) whose wife died a year earlier leaving behind son, Dylan, and daughter, Rosie.
Mee tries to find ways to make his children happy, including looking for a new home to leave behind the memories of his wife. When he finds a house nine miles out of the city, it is a zoo.
While the animals heal Dylan’s problems at school and at home, Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson) helps Mee find love again. Living and owning a zoo takes a toll on the family economically and socially, but in the end it is the best thing for them.
