The eighth graders bonded together during their retreat at Saint Anthony’s Retreat Center on October 21 .
“I love working with the eighth graders. This retreat will be one way to get to have fun and get to know them better. The retreat is also a way for the girls to join together as a class and build their spiritual relationship with God. I hope that through this retreat on Friday the girls will gain personal and spiritual growth,” said class adviser Chantal Seitz.
Activities were designed to break the ice and give the students a chance to learn new things about one another and see a different side of each person.
“When we got back to school from the retreat, we went into the chapel and wrote what we learned about ourselves through this retreat on a paper slipper. The footprints were put together to symbolize our journey together,” said student Aimee Pak.
“Through the activities on the retreat, I learned that people are not always what they seem to be. It is little scary. I feel that this retreat helped bring me even closer to my friends and classmates,” said Aolani Zidek.
