Zaydi is a first-year Journalism student and is in her junior year at SHA. This year, she hopes to focus primarily on the photography aspect of Journalism, while also aiming to further define her writing skills. Zaydi enjoys her free time at the beach, listening to music, and playing guitar.
Elora Speltz, Staff Reporter
Elora is a first-year Journalism student and a senior at the Academy. She hopes to be more involved in the school community and improve her photography skills. In her free time, you can find Elora sailing or soaking up the sun at the beach. A fun fact about Elora is that her mom was also a journalist at the Academy.
Keira Wheeler, Editor-In-Chief
Keira is a fourth-year Journalism student and a senior at the Academy. She also placed third in Hawaii’s Journalist of the Year contest. As the Editor-in-Chief of Ka Leo, she aims to be the voice of her community but also to lead and mentor others. She hopes to inspire others to pursue Journalism in school and promote the amazing work that Ka Leo’s journalists do. In her free time, you would often find her at concerts, spending quality time with friends, or at the beach. A fun fact about Keira is that she will pursue a fashion business (PR) in the future!
