Introducing the student council of 2018-2019

President: Eden Arthur ‘19

My hobbies include playing soccer and photography. Something interesting about myself is that my tongue can touch my nose and I also have loose joints.

Vice President: Sophia Brittin ‘19

I’ve been on council for 5 years and served as Vice President for four years on division council.

Treasurer: Ivana Salon ‘19

Some of my favorite hobbies include photography, painting, and playing the piano! I also love to bowl and often compete in state and national tournaments. Something interesting about me is that I prefer rain over sunshine. I believe nothing is more relaxing than listening to the rain and sitting inside cuddled in a warm blanket watching movies.

Secretary: Emily Truong ‘19

My hobbies taking photos and sleeping. An interesting fact about me is that I do not like eating seafood.

Spirit Chair: Shaydee Afoa ‘19

One of my many interests is volleyball! I have played volleyball since the eighth grade and excited for what is in store for this season with nine seniors! Being a part of student council and LIFE team helps me give back to my community by creating a fun-filled environment for Sacred Hearts! One funny fact about myself is that I enjoy washing my hands!

Spirit Co-Chair: Chanah Tanioka ‘20

I used to do Cheerleading and Cross fit but right now I just do hula. Other activities/clubs that I am in at Sacred Hearts is Girls Got Grit (GGG) and National Honors Society (NHS). One interesting fact about me is that I have someone elses ligament in my body. I recently tore my ACL and instead of using my own ligament, there was a donor who donated their ACL to me.

SFA Chair: Briann Silva ‘19 & SFA Secretary: Monica Kenny ‘19

Briann: I am eager to push forth new ideas to make this year one to remember! On my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and binge-watching Netflix shows. I love helping people; one day I hope to become a doctor and travel on service trips to third-world countries.
Monica: I am excited to communicate student ideas and thoughts to the faculty and administration. I have been doing Muay Thai for three years, and also dabble in other martial arts such as jiu jitsu and MMA. Aside from that, I am involved in activism and try to be engaged in local politics.

Community Service: Logan Shiroma ‘19

I enjoy meeting people in and outside of our school community and creating new projects to help connect our student body through community service. Along with service, I love dance, hula and being a part of our Cyber Patriot’s club.

Community Service: Lucy Gentry ‘20

I love my dog, doing martial arts, and being in the ocean. Also, I can wiggle my ears.

Publicity Director: Martha Nicholas ‘19

I enjoy making films, playing the tenor saxophone, and doing yoga.

Art Director: Sally Do ‘19

I like learning about different arts and crafts projects I can do. I picked up on crocheting last year. Otherwise, if I have time, I read.
