Gwen Kava is a first-year journalist in her Senior year. During her free time, Gwen enjoys quality time with her nieces and nephews and going to the beach with her family.  Being a journalist to her means she has the opportunities to express and make known what is going on in the world and to educate her audience on what the rest of the media does not communicate.  Gwen also participates in the ILH Polynesian Club, where students from ILH schools island-wide come to dance and to be educated about Polynesian cultures.
