To strengthen campus safety at Sacred Hearts Academy, the school has installed new security cameras in every hallway and key entry points around campus. This new system makes it easier for staff to monitor daily activity and allows them to see what is happening throughout the campus.
The cameras play an important role, administration said, in helping with visibility. If anything unusual or concerning were to happen, then the staff could see and help right away.
The cameras also help with certain points that the staff may not be able to regulate.
Upper School Principal Dr. Elizabeth Loehr says the cameras “have more visibility” and “people on the cameras can see and help.”
She also mentioned that the “staff is always walking around, being present and active,” showing how serious they are about safety. Throughout the year, faculty members rotate through break and lunch duty shifts.
Additionally, the school regularly communicates with parents and families about what’s new and happening on campus and in the community. Families are updated and involved in safety discussions as well.
To further improve campus safety, visitors sign in at the front office and must wear a visitor badge with their name. Administration says that this is so that everyone knows who they are and what they’re on campus for.

Thank you for explaining how the new camera system works. I liked how you mentioned that it helps with areas staff can’t always monitor.
