PORTRAIT PHOTO – Sr. Katherine Francis Miller reflects on Lancer legacy
Earlier this year, Sister Katherine Francis Miller took center stage at Sacred Hearts Academy’s 115th birthday celebration, sharing heartfelt stories of her time as a Lancer with students, teachers and alumnae. She has been a devoted member of the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary for over 50 years, living out its mission to “Contemplate, Live and Proclaim the redeeming love of God revealed in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary.” Her dedication to education is evident in her long-standing role at the Academy, where she continues to teach theology, even in retirement. In 2019, she was recognized alongside other jubilarians for her significant contributions to the spiritual and academic community. Miller is known for embodying the spirit of aloha and inspires others to recognize the divine in all aspects of life. Many would agree that her enduring impact is felt by the Academy and all who have had the opportunity to learn from her.
