Academy summer program offers credit classes for students
Every year, Sacred Hearts Academy offers summer school programs to grades junior kindergarten to 12 and is open to all. This year’s program is being held from June 11 through July 13.
For the high school program, graduation credit, credit redemption and extra curricular classes are being offered. Some classes are offered both on-campus and off-campus as well as online such as, 3-D modeling, Computer Science and Physical Education. For those looking for credit redemption on-campus, classes such as, Algebra I and II, English I-IV, Chemistry and World History are offered. Classes that count towards a students graduation requirements include, World Religions, Yoga, Global Issues and Hawaiian History. Extra curricular classes gives students the opportunity to express their creativity in classes such as, Jewelry-making, Photography, printmaking and Introduction to Technology.
“I would recommend my class, because it is fun and you (can) also get half of point for art credit,” Aacademy Art Teacher Kacey Baltunado said.
Registration for all grades of the Summer Program is currently open. Parents may either register online or book an appointment with Sherene Neves in the high school office.
