Last fall, the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa Rainbow Warriors (UHMRW) hosted a two-day camp for teens from across the island. The program provided participants with a warm-up session alongside the team before learning the choreographed dance of their choice. On game day, participants checked in and then headed onto the field to rehearse formations, refine movements, and practice their entrance. Juniors and seniors from any high school on the island were eligible to participate. I joined fellow Sacred Hearts Academy students—senior Anna Casupang and juniors Ka‘ano‘ipu Kahuli and Hailey Kim. The highlight of the camp was the opportunity to perform during halftime at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa’s (UHM) game against Northern Iowa in late September.
