Drink vintage at Ars Cafe

Step back in time at Ars Cafe on Monsarrat Avenue, not too far from Sacred Hearts Academy’s campus.

The cafe’s vintage take in modern day is evident in the processing of their coffee, gelato and other goods. It can also be found in the classical music that fills the cafe and the atmospheric wooden furniture that adds the finishing touch of old time.

Ars Cafe is one of many local businesses that keep their products fresh and natural. Its menu offers a variety of made-from-scratch items, such as fresh-baked pastries and sandwiches.
Aleah, an employee at Ars, explains the steps taken to creating their specialty coffees. She said the coffees have worldwide origins spanning locations that include, San Francisco, Wisconsin, Ethiopia, Kenya and Colombia.

There are three machines used to create a natural-tasting drink, she said. These machines grind the five different variety of coffee beans, distill and define the coffee taste and finally create the coffee itself.

The process of distilling the coffee can take 6 to 8 hours.
