South Korean rock band Day6 have fans excited for the singles to come in their newly established project titled “Every Day6.”

With this project, the group will release singles on the sixth of every month throughout the year, excluding May, June, August and October.  Along with releasing singles, the band arranges concerts and live television performances.

January

To kick off the project, the group released “I Wait” and “It’s Winter” in January. “I Wait” talks about the members constantly waiting for the person they love to reciprocate their feelings, while “It’s Winter” dwells more on how the members won’t let go of that person. “It’s Winter” has a mellow and slow beat whereas “I Wait” has a faster beat with an electronic dance music influence.

The music video for “I Wait” mainly showcases each member individually and then as a whole performing the song.

February

Continuing with a slower beat into February, Day6 released “You Were Beautiful” and “My Day.” While the tracks released in January focuses on the feeling that they won’t let go of that person, “You Were Beautiful” tells listeners the reason they love that person and elaborates more on the past they had together. “My Day” takes the beauty the members saw in that person described in “You Were Beautiful” and talks about how it’s the memory of that person that fills their day.

The music video for “You Were Beautiful” shows a woman watching videos from the past

And reminiscing about a relationship she had before. As the video progresses, she recalls memories of when she and someone separated and is in anguish.

March

The group picks up the speed of their tracks with the release of “How Can I Say” and “It Would Have Been.” “How Can I Say” talks about how the members have difficulty saying “I Love You” to their significant other. In this song, they also struggle to tell that person that they do not love them anymore. “It Would Have Been” shows the regret of the members for not reciprocating that person’s feelings to the point where they leave and regrets not keeping them close.

Similar to the music video for “I Wait,” the music video for “How Can I Say” showcases the members performing the song.

April

Keeping the beat up with “I’m Serious” and “Say Wow,” fans are singing along to the group’s newest released singles. “I’m Serious” talks about the members worry of someone not understanding their feelings towards them as they constantly brush it off as a joke every time it’s brought up. Similar to “My Day,” the members list the many things that they like about a person and how their presence makes them self-conscious.

Taking a different route than previous music videos, the music video for “I’m Serious” follows the members as they take a trip around the country side with a happier attitude.

With Day6 producing more songs for fans to enjoy, many are coming to recognize the popularity of Korean rock music. Every Day6 is available on iTunes and YouTube.
