John Green’s best selling novel, “The Fault in Our Stars,” became a blockbuster movie. His eagerly awaited third novel, “Paper Towns,” is currently being filmed and expected to be released in June.

Margo Roth Spiegleman (Cara Delevigne) and Quentin “Q” Jacobsen (Nat Wolff) are the leads.

“Paper Towns” has a more mysterious tone than Green’s more romantic books.

The story opens in a subdivision in Orlando, Florida, with Quentin who has spent a lifetime secretly loving the adventurous, curious Margo.

As Margo planned adventures in her little black book, Quentin reluctantly participated. As children, Quentin and Margo were almost inseparable, but high school marked a time of distance between the two.

Quentin evolves into cynical band geek while Margo has become a popular socialite, the “it girl.”

When Margo climbs through his window one night “to right some wrongs,” he joins in on the  mission.

Quentin and Margo spend the night exacting revenge on numerous former friends of Margo and those she believes have wronged Quentin. The night serves as a final farewell to her “Paper Town,” which she blames for her becoming a “Paper Girl.”

In the ensuing days, Margo’s absence causes confusion and worry for her family and friends. Concerned about her, Quentin attempts to piece together parts of Margo using what he knows about her. This, however, leads to Quentin’s obsession with the discovery of Margo.

Quentin gathers his and Margo’s friends to find her.as they search abandoned mini-malls and unfinished subdivision projects called pseudovisions in the pursuit of Margo.

In the end, relationships are strained, “strings are broken” and people are questioned. Quentin, however, learns that people are never “irreparably broken” or completely understood.

The book is recommended for young adults looking for an easy, yet captivating, idiosyncratic story.

Judging by the quality of the book, the movie is sure to be wondrous. John Green continues to delight and inspire all ages, and “Paper Towns” is no exception.
